Harris Voluntary Services was delighted to play a role in this year's Scarr Hall Awards, which recognise local volunteers for their exceptional service to the Harris community.
Mr Ian Scarr Hall presented the awards at the Harris Hotel in April.
This year's winners were Donnie 'Rodel' MacDonald, Annie MacDonald (Scalpay) and Tania MacLeod and Jocelyn Corderoy, from Tarbert in Bloom.
Harris Voluntary Service supports the awards by requesting and collating nominations through our Dè tha dol? newsletter. We are very grateful to the Scarr Hall family for the initative, which was established in memory of Mr Scarr Hall's mother and her own commitment to working in her community.
We want to thank all members of the community who sent in nominations - we're very fortunate to have such an active community, and were impressed by every nomination we read - and Harris Hotel for hosting the event and providing a delicious afternoon tea to help us celebrate.
Nominations for the 2026/2027 Scarr Hall Awards will open later this Autumn.
